About GO

Established in 1985, Gazehound Ontario, affectionately known as GO, is a non-profit organization comprised of sighthound breeders, owners and enthusiasts who are dedicated to the preservation and well being of sighthounds. This encompasses not only the conformation aspect of the Gazehound breeds, but also the functional and working abilities of the magnificent breeds that make up the sighthound group.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide 1 or 2 coursing events per year (1 in the spring, and if possible, 1 in the fall).  GO also hosts a specialty dog show for sighthounds at the Erie Shores Dog Show (Calendonia Fairgrounds) every year.

Club Objectives

The objectives of the club are;

(1) to do all in its power to protect and advance the interest of sighthound breeds and to encourage sportsmanlike competition at field trials and tests and conformation shows; and

(2) to conduct sanctioned and approved events under the rules of The Canadian Kennel Club and to abide by the principles of The Canadian Kennel Club Code of Ethics.

Pat Wolfe Memorial trophy

GO has established a very special trophy awarded to the top hound for the day at the specialty show in the memory of Pat Wolfe.
